What we scan for

10 Signals. S&P 500, Dow Jones
& Nasdaq 100. Every Day.

Each signal is built around proven institutional chart-reading methods used by professional swing and momentum traders.

📈

RSI Bullish Divergence

Price making lower lows while RSI makes higher lows — hidden strength. Scanned on 1H, 4H and Daily with a minimum of 2 confirmed swing lows. Only shows when today's daily candle is green.

1H · 4H · Daily
📊

EMA Cross + Trend

20 EMA crossing above 50 EMA with price above 200 EMA. Requires 3 consecutive higher closes and rising volume — a clean trend-continuation confirmation signal.

Daily

RSI Crossing 45

RSI crossing above 45 from below on the daily chart, confirmed by a bullish candle pattern. Signals a momentum shift from bearish to bullish territory.

Daily
🕯

Bullish Candle Patterns

Morning Star, Bullish Engulfing, Hammer, Three White Soldiers, Piercing Line and more — classic reversal formations on the daily timeframe.

Daily
🎯

VCP — Volatility Contraction

Mark Minervini's signature setup: Stage 2 uptrend, within 25% of 52-week high, 2–4 successive pullbacks each shallower and quieter than the last. Price within 5% of the pivot point.

Weekly · Daily
🚀

52-Week High Breakout

Price closing within 3% of 52-week high on volume 1.5× above average, RSI above 60, above 200 SMA. Clean Stage 2 breakout entries ready to act on.

Daily
📐

Flat Base Pattern

Price consolidating in a ≤15% range for at least 5 weeks near highs with the 200 SMA below and volume contracting through the base — a classic IBD-style setup.

Weekly
📦

Inside Bar Breakout Setup

Today's full range inside the prior day's range. Price above 50 SMA, RSI 45–75, declining volume. A break above the prior high is the entry trigger.

Daily
📉

Weekly Volume Coil

A prior week had a volume spike ≥2× average. Each subsequent week shows lower volume AND a narrowing candle range — the stock is coiling. Minimum 2 declining weeks required.

Weekly
👀

Weekly Watchlist

This week itself shows a fresh volume spike ≥2× average — potential accumulation. Watch for volume to decline in coming weeks to confirm a coiling pattern is forming.

FAQ

Common Questions

Yes — full access to all 10 signals is completely free during our launch period. No credit card, no hidden costs. We will give you advance written notice before the $30/mo Pro plan activates so you can decide whether to continue.
Google Sign-In lets us manage access tiers fairly as we move to paid plans, and enables us to save your preferences and watchlist in future updates. We never store any password — authentication is handled entirely by Google via Supabase.
All 10 signals are re-scanned for S&P 500, Dow Jones 30 and Nasdaq 100 every evening after NYSE market close (4:00 PM ET). Data is sourced from Yahoo Finance and is typically ready within 1–2 hours of the closing bell.
The VCP was popularised by US Investing Champion Mark Minervini. It identifies stocks in a Stage 2 uptrend forming a series of progressively tighter pullbacks on declining volume — coiling before a breakout. The scanner detects 2–4 successive contractions with price within 5% of the pivot point.
When price makes a lower low but RSI makes a higher low, selling momentum is weakening — a bullish divergence. The scanner confirms this on 1H, 4H, and Daily charts with a minimum of 2 confirmed swing lows, and only shows results where today's daily candle closes above the open.
The Pro plan will include everything in Free Access plus: email alerts for VCP and 52-week breakout signals across all three indices, a personal watchlist, priority data refresh, pre-market signal digest, and CSV export. Users who sign up during the free launch period will receive advance notice before any charges begin.
ToolsFin scans three major US indices daily: the S&P 500 (500 large-cap stocks), the Dow Jones Industrial Average (30 blue-chip stocks) and the Nasdaq 100 (100 largest non-financial Nasdaq companies including AAPL, NVDA, MSFT, META, TSLA and more). Switch between them using the index selector at the top of the scanner page.
The Nasdaq 100 scanner covers the 100 largest non-financial companies listed on the Nasdaq exchange, rebalanced quarterly. It includes major technology companies like Apple, NVIDIA, Microsoft, Alphabet, Meta, Amazon and Tesla — making it the go-to index for tech-heavy swing and momentum trading setups.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average covers only 30 blue-chip companies — the most established large-cap US stocks like JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Apple, Boeing, Walmart and UnitedHealth. Signals on Dow stocks tend to be slower moving and more institutional in nature. All 10 technical signals apply equally across all three indices.
